We offer a variety of dance classes for all ages and abilities, from Twinkle Toes and beginners to adults and pre-professional level students. You’ll find our classes welcoming and encouraging. Enrol for a FREE trial class to find out if the class you have chosen is suitable for your child.

For Under 5’s

Does your little one love to move? At Port Macquarie Performing Arts we have a number of classes suited for children under 5 years old. We offer 2 casual classes, Mini Movers & Kindy Gym are suited for children from Walking age to 2 years. Twinkle Toes and Mini Men are 45 minute classes suited for children aged 3-5 years.

For 6 & 7 Year Olds

Our Combo classes are perfect for Kindergarten and Grade 1 children, where they learn 3 styles of dance in one convenient class. Young dancers develop their knowledge, technique and rhythm in Ballet, Jazz and Tap while having fun and making friends. In this class, dancers also start to learn the fundamental basics of dance acrobatics helping them progress and prepare for our performance programs once they move into Grade 2 at school.

For 7 Years Plus

Dancers aged 7 years and above have the option of participating in Performance or Recreational classes in each of the genres we offer.

To join a competitive class that performs at eisteddfods in addition to our Showcase and End of Year Concert, choose Performance classes. For a fun class that doesn’t compete but still performs on stage in our Showcase and End of Year Concert, choose a Recreational classes.

Performance Programs

Serious about dance?

From 8 years and above, we provide performance programs for dancers who wish to try every style, at a discounted rate. The programs give our dedicated dancers the best opportunity to become professional performers, whilst also giving young dancers who dance for fun the education and environment to strive for their personal best in anything they want to accomplish. Dancers have performance opportunities, compete in eisteddfods and participate in goal setting, team building and well-being activities.
