Angela is currently the Performance Manager for Port Macquarie Performing Arts and Danae Cantwell School of Dance on the Mid North Coast of Australia. Angela has 15 years teaching experience and has extensive knowledge of all styles of dance. Although her professional training was Classical Ballet she also has experience in teaching, Musical Theatre, Jazz, Tap, Lyrical, Contemporary, National Character, Hip Hop and Acro. Angela trained at the The Heinz Bosl Stiftung, Munich on full scholarship and received her Diploma of Classical Ballet. She was employed at Duestche Oper am Rhein, Dusseldorf, a classical/ contemporary ballet company.
Upon her return to Australia, Angela was a contestant on the first season of So You Think You Can Dance, making the top 20 girls in Australia. Angela returned to her home town of Port Macquarie and completed her Diploma of Classical Ballet Teaching with Distinction.
In 2021 she began her international speaking role as a member of Julie Kay Stallcup’s Mastermind, a panel of experts put together to inspire dance teachers across the world.
Her love of the performing arts has encouraged her to step out of the studio and into adjudicating.
Angela has a nurturing, supportive nature and has always loved watching local eisteddfods. It is her dream to adjudicate at an international level.
