We enrolled our daughter at PMPA when we first moved to Port Macquarie at the age of 3. We were looking for some activities for her to do. She is now almost 11 and continues to love it and thrive. I am very much the reluctant dance Mum, but I see how much she loves it and I see how supported she is by all her teachers and also other students who are among her best friends, along with their families.
At PMPA it’s not just about supporting “the best” or “most talented” dancer and making them the star. It’s about creating a real team – a family. It’s about nurturing each individual child and building their strengths so they can build their own confidence. Its about giving each child their opportunity to shine. It’s the teachers who care about them – not just as dancers but as people. About their health and welfare. It’s the little things…the individual birthday cards, get well cards when they are injured, the check in messages. It’s the zoom classes during Covid lockdown so that routine is kept and connection continues. It’s knowing that other people are looking out for your child. It’s the village! And that’s why we choose PMPA. Because I am learning, as a non dancer – that dance is about community, creativity and…love. At PMPA, we get it all.
